About · PUCA.ARCHIVE

Paying attention is the whole practice.

PUCA.ARCHIVE is the working archive of Conor Fitzpatrick — painting, animation and visual storytelling gathered in one place, made from a habit of noticing.

Conor Fitzpatrick

Conor Fitzpatrick is an Irish artist working across oil, acrylic, gold leaf and animation. The work begins in noticing — kitchen light, a glance held a beat too long, the particular colour of an ordinary afternoon.

Each piece is an attempt to keep something before it goes. Less a record of events than of attention itself: the everyday, looked at sideways until it gives something back.

Púca — folklore study3/2 · uncropped
On the name

Named after the púca — the shapeshifting trickster of Irish folklore, who arrives at dusk and changes the shape of everything it touches.

The archive borrows its habit: looking at the familiar long enough that it turns into something else.
